Take ownership as a key leader for Marvell’s portfolio managing the Product Engineering Networking Switching team. Lead cross functional teams, drive learning in multi-terabit ethernet, and drive industry leading product lines from NPI to Mass Production. Collaborate with diverse, cross-functional teams to build essential technologies that connects people and secures the world’s data-transforming automotive and enterprise network architectures for the better.

What You Can Expect

As a Senior Staff Product Engineering Manager within the Networking & Connectivity team, you are recognized as a leader in Networking Switching team. Strong end to end ownership, collaboration, and goal-oriented mindset (mutual) are required. You will be tasked with managing a diverse team, managing their execution / quality of work through the full product cycle.

Product Development Responsibility:

  • Lead post silicon bring up and manage new product release throughout the product life cycle -- from product architecture, to production, to end of life
  • Work closely with cross functional team lead in Operations, Design, Central Engineering and business units to ensure the final product meets quality standards and is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Continuous innovation

Team Management:

  • Oversee and Manage NPI activities in USA and Asia from concept to Production in weekly cross functional meetings by product requirements and goals.
  • Create organizational development plans for scaling and growth in the technical and managerial aspects of the team.
  • Drive and instill ownership mindset focusing on collaborative solutions and meet manufacturing, quality, and business needs.

Budget and Strategy:

  • Prepare and support the engineering department's budget - people, equipment, hardware
  • Design and execute strategies for future development projects with increasing complexity based on company objectives and resources.
  • Implement leading edge test innovation technologies in NPI/HVM to maintain product leadership position, enhance productivity and drive business unit growth.
  • Drive standards for DPPM, quality and performance requirements.
  • Propose and defend product cost and quality improvement.

Collaboration:

  • Coordinate with stakeholders within Ops team for new integrations and tools.
  • Collaborate with OSAT and Test vendors with product knowledge and need, drive collaboration with partners to improve.
  • Drive Goal oriented mindset ensuring cross functional success through effective communication, collaboration, and innovation.

What We're Looking For

Skills and Background requirements:

  • +10 year of relevant industry experience
  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills with clear capabilities to lead cross functional teams.
  • Strong business acumen understanding business implications for cost, quality, time to market, and the role product engineering plays in this.
  • Deep understanding of end-to-end product lifecycle and strategic cost management
  • Demonstratable expertise in Root Cause Analysis
  • Strong skill in transforming complex data analytics into high-level presentations.
  • Career history showing use of ATE (ideally 93K) to perform silicon analysis and debug.
  • Solid foundation in applied statistics for product characterization and quality improvement
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools such as JMP and SiliconDash
  • Strong schedule management and optimization skills (interest in process automation is a plus)

Education and Experience requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields and 10-15 years of related professional experience, preferably within the SEMI/IC industry

OR

  • Master’s degree and/or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields with 5-10 years of professional experience, preferably within the SEMI/IC industry
  • Extensive experience managing teams driving products through their product lifecycle.
  • Strong technical and managerial background in NPI and HVM work
  • Extensive experience managing people and talent in USA and APAC
  • Excellent manufacturing and people leader in Ops/Design/OSAT/Quality

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

141,600 - 212,100, $ per annum

The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
