EasygoEasygo seeks a Senior Software Development Engineer for their Payments team in Sydney. Responsibilities include designing and implementing scalable, high-performance payment system solutions, optimizing existing systems, hands-on coding, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing technical leadership and mentorship. The ideal candidate possesses 7+ years of software engineering experience, focusing on scalable system design and development, proficiency in multiple programming languages, and strong problem-solving and communication skills. The Payments team is responsible for a highly scalable, secure, and compliant payment system supporting global currencies and methods, forming the backbone of their financial operations.

The Payments team is responsible for delivering a highly scalable, secure, high-performance, and compliant payment system that supports numerous currencies and payment methods worldwide. This team forms the backbone of our financial operations, playing a crucial role in driving revenue growth, enabling global expansion, and strengthening customer trust.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable, high-performance software solutions in alignment with project requirements and company standards.
  • Optimize existing systems for performance, scalability, and reliability, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
  • Actively engage in hands-on coding and development, ensuring code quality, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, communicating technical concepts and project updates.
  • Provide technical leadership, guiding and mentoring junior engineers in the team.



Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, focusing on scalable system design and development.
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks relevant to the role.
  • Experience providing technical leadership, mentoring, and guiding teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.



Preferred Qualifications 

  • Proven track record of building and operating highly scalable payments processing systems.
  • Proficiency in designing and providing critical API services used by both internal and external consumers.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment, meeting high standards of compliance and trust.

Whilst the products that we build are global we have two amazing offices in the same building in the heart of the CBD with all the bells and whistles you could ever want.
