The ZIA (Zscaler Internet Access) Team is hiring a Sr. Manager of Software Engineering to manage their Identity and Access control plane and infrastructure. You will report to the Sr. Director of Engineering. This is an opportunity to join and lead an expanding, dynamic engineering team that is working on modern Zero Trust technology to evolve our current cloud security flagship products. You will help nurture our identity and access management development team, part of the ZIA engineering team with end-to-end ownership over development and quality and work with Operations and DevOps team for successful production delivery. You will partner with architects, subject matter experts, product managers, other developers and QA engineers located globally and in different time zones. You will be responsible for:
- Promote the product vision internally and externally as the representative of the company, product, and team at all levels.
- Work with the product management organisation to develop and achieve roadmaps and Identify process and product gaps early being able to guide changes to achieve improved outcomes
- Design solutions and implement with cloud reliability / availability / scalability / security in mind.
- Collaborate with different teams and subject matter experts and making sure project requirements are met and delivered in expedited manner.
- Participate in budget planning of resources required to build and run a cloud service, identifying hardware needs based on metrics and cost.
What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with over 15 years of experience in technical roles, specializing in development and enterprise services, and networking and security domains, within both large organizations and startups.
- Experience building control plane systems on a globally distributed database and understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms such as SAML / OAUTH / LDAP / SCIM.
- Experience integrating software systems using distributed message queues and distributed caches such as RabbitMQ/Kafka and Redis/Memcached.
- Experience working with big data, data pipelines, and data analytics.
- Familiarity with public cloud providers such as AWS/Azure/GCP and experience bootstrapping cloud entities and building service mesh.
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience with Kubernetes for orchestrating containerized applications and managing microservices architecture.
