Our engineering department consists of 200+ people across multiple teams, such as application development, infrastructure, data platform, machine learning, and security. We’re seeking a self-motivated, highly driven Senior Engineering Manager to lead our Data and Event Platform teams. You’ll be at the helm of building and optimizing a cutting-edge platform that supports data-driven products and drives strategic outcomes for our customers. By delivering an extensible data and compute environment, you’ll ensure seamless access to mission-critical data sets. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with Machine Learning, Product Engineer, Business Intelligence, and Engineering leadership to ensure the platform meets the diverse needs of these teams. This hands-on role requires a balance of people management, technical oversight, and cross-functional leadership, making it ideal for a leader who excels in driving innovation and execution.

Lead the technical vision for the Data and Event team, aligning with company goals and driving strategic outcomes through innovative data solutions
Oversee the design and implementation of high-throughput data solutions, ensuring that they are scalable, efficient, and capable of powering critical operations
Partner with teams across AI, ML, analytics, and other departments to enhance and expand our self-service data platform, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of the organization
Establish and uphold high standards for data quality, governance, and system integration, addressing complex distributed data challenges with robust solutions
Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, experimentation, and collaboration
Balance and prioritize multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives while maintaining high standards of technical excellence
You will manage technical debt, including long term technical architecture decisions and balance product roadmap

About you

You have at least 5+ years of industry experience leading platform and data teams, with a proven track record of solving complex distributed systems challenges and delivering impactful solutions
You are an outstanding coach and mentor, with a talent for developing high-performing teams and nurturing a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration
You have a strong commitment to software quality, with a history of building reliable, high-uptime systems that meet and exceed performance expectations
You excel at translating business needs into well-defined projects, taking a hands-on approach to solution design, implementation, and execution
You are passionate about emerging technologies and have the ability to evaluate and choose the right tools and technologies to drive innovation while balancing practical considerations
You thrive in a collaborative environment, working effectively with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business goals and ensure cohesive execution

For US based applicants:

- The US base salary range for this full-time position is $230,000 - $280,000 annually + equity + benefits

- Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location
