We are partnering with a nonprofit medical center renowned for its patient-centered care and commitment to medical expertise to find a Senior Digital Product Designer UX. The role is fully remote and offers a 1+ year contract opportunity.

Overview of the Opportunity

As a Senior Digital Product Designer UX, you’ll be joining a dynamic digital product design team dedicated to creating accessible, intuitive, and patient-focused digital experiences in healthcare. You’ll be responsible for designing and building digital products with an emphasis on accessibility and usability, using tools like Figma, and collaborating closely with UX researchers and other design professionals. If you’re a skilled designer passionate about improving healthcare through innovative digital solutions, this role is an excellent fit. Application deadline is December 03, 2024.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build digital products using Figma
  • Build and maintain design systems, including UI components and light/dark modes
  • Work with preset branded design patterns to ensure brand consistency
  • Translate insights from user experience research into intuitive UI/UX designs
  • Ensure designs meet accessibility standards (WCAG)
  • Collaborate with UX researchers to ensure designs resonate with users (preferred)
  • Work in hospital/healthcare settings (preferred)
  • Engage with cutting-edge technology in hospital inpatient and outpatient environments (nice to have)

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in UX design
  • Strong understanding of the Human-Centered Design (HCD) process
  • Proficiency in current User Experience methods
  • Excellent visual communication skills to clarify complex problems
  • Ability to design for users with serious and complex medical conditions
  • Strong organizational skills to manage critical projects independently
  • Expertise in accessibility concerns for digital products
  • Experience designing across all stages of the User Experience Design lifecycle (Sketching, Prototyping, Iteration, Refinement, and Evaluation)
  • Knowledge of tools such as Adobe CS, Sketch, Figma, Mural, InVision
  • Experience working within Scrum Agile methodology, including defining User Stories
  • Ability to mentor junior designers and drive innovation in design processes
  • Clear communicator capable of presenting ideas to project teams and executives
  • Familiarity with the security and sensitivity of patient medical data
  • Commitment to ethical and professional standards in design

To qualify for our benefits package, you must work over 30 hours per week, and the length of the assignment must be a minimum of 10 weeks.
