The Walt Disney Company’s Legal Department is seeking a motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented individual to support the General Counsel – Disney Experiences (DX). The General Counsel – DX leads a large and diverse team of Legal professionals across the U.S., Asia, and Europe in support of the Disney Experiences segment and the Corporate Real Estate teams. This role contributes to the overall success of the team by coordinating confidential and complex administrative tasks with limited direction and closely partnering with Executive Admins for senior executives’ team across the Legal and Global Affairs department and the enterprise.

We are looking for a motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented individual who can handle highly confidential information with total discretion, independently exercise good judgment, take initiative, and quickly adapt to changing events. The ideal candidate must possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills to assure successful interaction with all levels of employees and external contacts.

Responsibilities

  • Thoughtfully manage complex calendar – help prioritize Executive’s time through strategic and proactive calendar management and vetting a variety of meeting requests
  • Interface (both written and verbal) with various internal Disney departments, Executives, and business units
  • Manage highly confidential correspondence and information with upmost discretion and maintain standards of strict confidentiality with respect to all matters and documents
  • Book Travel for Executive, build travel itineraries, and manage Travel & Entertainment expenses
  • Ensure the executive is prepared for meetings and events; research and report out on specific topics as required
  • Coordinate agendas, take meeting notes, and follow up on action items from leadership meetings
  • Collaborate with appropriate partners to plan quarterly all hands meetings, to include agenda and logistics
  • Revise and redline documents and assist with document preparation
  • Pulls, consolidates, and collects information for various reporting needs
  • Manage and maintain various files, databases, and filing systems
  • Participate in the administrative team, providing backup to other assistants and assist with departmental tasks

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an administrative capacity for a senior executive (SVP or higher)
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint etc.) and Adobe; ability and willingness to learn and use new software and tools, including document management systems
  • Ability to anticipate needs, take initiative, prioritize, meet deadlines, and be resourceful and flexible
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships across multiple levels of employees and clients within and outside the organization
  • Highly organized, attentive to detail, strong proofreading skills, and ability to multi-task effectively
  • Ability to exercise appropriate judgment in executing tasks without supervision
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting attorneys in a large law firm or lar in-house legal department

Preferred Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $94,200 to $126,200 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
