Software Development Engineer in Test (Automation + Manual)
We are looking for an experienced Software Testing Engineer to join our team and embark on an exciting journey that will redefine the possibilities of software development and allow you to work on a product that thousands of customers use globally. As a hands-on technical problem solver and innovator, you'll be part of end-to-end software quality assurance and testing activities, collaborating with a talented team to design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge solutions. With a focus on Agile Scrum methodologies, you'll apply object-oriented thinking, software engineering best practices, and design patterns to deliver exceptional results. You will collaborate closely with product management teams and management to deliver a unique product that powers our customer's success.
Here is more of what you’ll get to do:
- Hands-on technical incumbent responsible for designing, developing, and executing test activities. Ensuring applications meet IT standards for quality, reliability, security, performance, and architecture requirements.
- Setting up a test environment and database validations.
- Design and develop tests in Selenium using C#.
- Able to test and develop test automation strategies for Rest APIs
- UI, unit testing, and load testing of Microsoft .NET applications.
- Research new technologies and incorporate them into our applications.
- Write and maintain documentation supporting the code and application.
- Expected to work effectively as an individual with daily and weekly goals for assigned tasks in their queue and as a part of a larger team to assist the team in cumulative team goals.
- Learn specifications, internal and external systems, product offerings, and application of LeadVenture standards.
- Collaborate with remote teams in different time zones.
- Work schedule: Typically, 5 days a week. You may sometimes need to work during non-business hours for deployments or production issues.
You’ll thrive in this role if you have:
- Relevant experience of 2 to 5 years in test automation (Selenium)
Must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or sciences from a reputed College/University.
- Experienced in software development life cycle, software test strategies, test case management, and software quality reporting
- Selenium IDE / WebDriver
- Proficient in C# or Java or PHP development. You will need to learn and develop in C# if you are coming from other areas
- Designing, developing, and executing test strategies in Manual and Automation test environments
- API testing
- Agile Scrum methodology
- GitHub or GitLab reviewing and merging code via pull requests
- JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket tools experience
- Strong English spoken and written skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work with diverse and distributed product stakeholders in different time zones
Nice to have:
- Experience with load testing of web-based applications
- Experience working in a Product development company is a strong plus
