Our client is seeking a dedicated Program Manager to join their team. This role is pivotal in planning, scheduling, and tracking programs within the Higher Education Business Unit. You will collaborate with technical product management, architecture, engineering, and business teams to deliver innovative digital solutions.

This remote position is open to applicants authorized to work within the United States, with preference given to candidates in the New York/New Jersey area. Occasional travel up to 20% may be required.

  • *6+ month contract with potential for extension
  • *Remote - but desiring candidates located in EST hours or that are located in the NY / New Jersey area
  • *This position is not eligible for C2C or sponsorship



Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate delivery of large cross-team programs, ensuring completion on time and with quality.
  • Resolve complex dependencies and escalate issues across impacted projects, programs, and teams.
  • Drive scaled agile planning and execution methodologies for teams or projects.
  • Partner with product and engineering leadership to provide guidance across multiple platform teams.
  • Manage and own communication plans, including status reporting, stakeholder updates, and risk/issue management.
  • Coach agile teams and facilitate effective ceremonies.


Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of software development and adoption.
  • 7+ years of agile project management experience with increasing responsibility.
  • Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, and Smartsheet.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in high-pressure environments.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills across a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel occasionally and work in the Eastern time zone.
  • Cross-disciplinary understanding of product management, software development, and quality assurance.
  • Leadership, negotiation, conflict management, and critical thinking skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification.
  • Experience with scaled agile methodologies or certification.
  • Familiarity with Teams and Slack.
  • Experience as a scrum master.
