Summary

The Product Launch Manager - Italy will define, orchestrate, and execute the Go-to-Market strategy for PayPal's merchant products in Italy. This crucial role ensures successful delivery of the PayPal Italy product strategy. The PLG team works closely with Payments, Product, Marketing, Sales, and Support stakeholders. Responsibilities include leading a customer-centric Go-to-Market strategy, collaborating with stakeholders to build impactful launches, articulating launch dependencies and milestones, driving delivery, proactively identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring a smooth product rollout. The ideal candidate possesses 7+ years of experience in strategy, consulting, or go-to-market, a proven track record of independent work, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage ambiguity.

The Product Launch Manager - Italy will define, orchestrate and execute the Go-to-Market for our merchant products in Italy. The role is critical to ensuring the successful delivery of the PayPal Italy product strategy

Meet our team:

The PLG Team (Product, Launch and Growth) team are at the crucial intersection of Payments, Product, Marketing, Sales, Customer Support, Government Relations, Legal and Compliance. Working closely with these stakeholders in Italy / Europe is pivotal for the success of the PLG team and the broader Global Product Solutions (GPS) organization. The role will report to the Director of EU Product Launch and Growth.

  • Outcome focused, bringing payments and commercial acumen to the table to deliver winning launch plans 

  • Leverages a deep understanding of how to navigate a hyper-matrixed organization with the gravitas to manage C Level stakeholders. 

  • Brings a knack for seamlessly shifting between being detail oriented and viewing the strategic picture.    

  • Possesses ability to translate product plans into impact for our customer and customer facing teams 

Your day-to-day 

In your day-to-day role you will:

  • Lead and build a customer centric and commercially aligned Go to Market strategy  

  • Bring market and functional stakeholders together to build coherent and impactful launches that deliver against market goals 

  • Articulate market launch dependencies and milestones and drive delivery to ensure readiness to launch.  

  • Proactively identify, mitigate and effectively escalate risks to product launches to ensure a smooth, transparent and impactful roll out

What do you need to bring 

  • 7+ years of professional experience across strategy, consulting, go to market 

  • Track record of working independently in a highly organized way 

  • Strong communication skills particularly when managing across stakeholders 

  • Be comfortable with ambiguity, and chart ways forward even with imperfect information. 

  • Business fluency in Italian and English is a pre-requisite 

  • Must already possess valid authorization to work in the country where the position is advertised/located. Relocation support will not be provided for this role.
