Vimeo is looking for a Principal Product Manager to lead development on our tools for marketers. This role owns a collection of products that empower marketers to integrate Vimeo into their existing workflows and get more ROI out of their content. Investment areas include innovative content repurposing tools, marketing analytics capabilities, and integrations including content ingestion and marketing automation.
Our ideal candidate has a proven track record working on analytics, integrations, and/or an understanding of the marketing technology landscape. This role reports to the Senior Manager of the Marketing Solution team.
What you will do:
- Lead product strategy: Create and execute a multi-year strategy for Vimeo's offerings for marketers, aligned with broader company strategy.
- Understand the customer: Conduct market research, user interviews, and surveys to understand the pain points and aspirations of marketers.
- Monitor performance: Track key product metrics and analyze user behavior to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Partner with marketing, sales, support, business intelligence, and other teams to define and measure success.
Skills and knowledge you should possess:
- Product management experience: 6+ years of experience leading teams of engineers and designers in building impactful products.
- Strategic thinking: Experience building long-term vision based on user/business needs and complexity. Ability to balance near-term impact, long-term investment, and tech debt.
- Customer empathy: Understanding of the benefits and tradeoffs of using different feedback channels. Ability to apply tools such as personas or JTBD where needed.
- Data fluency: Ability to formulate business questions and collect relevant data to inform roadmap prioritization. Can define sensible metrics and articulate how project outcomes tie to those metrics.
- Communication and influence: Ability to build support for initiatives with their immediate team, cross-org stakeholders, other PMs, and executives.
Bonus points:
- Experience building analytics or integration-oriented products.
- Familiarity with video and/or marketing technology.
- Experience working in a B2B SaaS environment.
