Job Description

The People Analyst, Scaled Analytics at Google's People Analytics team will lead multiple analytics projects, building and launching dashboards and unified people insights solutions. This involves requirements gathering, development, implementation, and stakeholder management. The role requires partnering with the People Analytics ecosystem to translate research and initiatives into unified data platforms for leaders and People Partners. The analyst will analyze data, distill insights, and provide recommendations. Responsibilities also include designing and maintaining predictive models and using data visualization to simplify data narratives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and a strong problem-solver, using both quantitative and qualitative methods. They should be comfortable working with SQL, R, or other statistical languages and have experience with BI tools such as Tableau or Looker Studio.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years data manipulation experience (SQL, R)
  • 5+ years experience with data sources and reporting
  • Lead analytics projects and build dashboards
  • Analyze data, distill insights, and provide recommendations
Good to have:
  • Quantitative degree
  • Experience with R, Python, or other scripting languages
  • Experience with BI suites (Looker Studio, Tableau, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and client service skills

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience interacting with and manipulating data using tools such as SQL, R, or other statistical languages.
  • 5 years of experience working with multiple data sources, combining information to generate insights from analyses, and creating reporting solutions for an executive audience (e.g., dashboards, tables, templates, metrics).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Math, Computer Science, Engineering), or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with SQL, manipulating and analyzing data sets to distill insights from data.
  • Experience in R, Python, or other scripting languages.
  • Experience collaborating on projects involving multiple teams, managing relationships with clients, and presenting to audiences.
  • Experience with developing front-end reporting enterprise BI suites (e.g., Looker Studio,Tableau, Looker, Power BI, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills with client service-orientation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple analytics projects to design, build, and launch dashboards and other unified scaled people insights solutions which will include requirements gathering, planning, development, implementation, stakeholder management, and on-going support.
  • Partner with the People Analytics ecosystem to translate research, program, and people support initiatives via unified data platforms for critical user groups including Google’s Leaders, People Partners.
  • Analyze data sets to distill insights from the data and connect disparate ideas into cohesive, well-grounded recommendations using creative, structured, and analytical thinking.
  • Design, implement, and maintain diagnostic and predictive models to deliver insights.
  • Use data visualization and analytical knowledge to simplify business flows and data narratives.
