Summary

Luxoft is seeking a Murex Lead MxML Developer for a Murex upgrade project (v3.1.38 to v3.1.6x) at a leading private bank in India. Responsibilities include requirements analysis and documentation, liaising with stakeholders, Murex configuration, test planning and execution, data migration support, vendor follow-up, report development, and user training. The role requires 10+ years of Murex Back Office experience (Trade Event, confirmation, settlement, etc.), understanding of financial markets and Murex architecture, MxML Exchange module expertise, and experience with XML, XSLT, Shell scripts, and SQL. The project involves a comprehensive upgrade and integration of the Murex system within the bank's existing infrastructure.

Project description

Our customer is a leading private bank in India that provides front-to-back integrated treasury solution. Bank is embarking upon first ever Murex upgrade (v3.1.38 to v3.1.6x) since implementation. Luxoft has been chosen as the System Integrator partner for this project and will have key roles across all the streams - Front Office, Back Office, Finance, Risk, Integration, Reporting, Test Management, Configuration & Environment management. We are looking for experienced & motivated Murex colleagues to join this exciting program and contribute towards the success of this engagement

Responsibilities

Analysis & Documentation of user requirements and transpose into Functional Specifications

Key liaison with Back Office and Operations user base, and primary interface between Business and IT with respect to Murex

Validation of user requirements with the vendor

Configure the application as part of implementation

Assist in creation of test plan, test cases and test scripts for all test phases of a project

Perform System Testing & assist with UAT

Assist with data migration exercises from existing application to Murex during initial project phases

Follow up with vendor support as and when necessary to resolve bugs, issues

Design & Build on-screen/ad-hoc reports requested by users

Act as the subject matter expert for Murex suite of tools used within Front Office and ensuring that all functionality of the product are installed and leveraged to its best capability within the group

Contribute to the User Training activities, through one-to-one discussion, preparation of user training guides & presentations

Skills

Must have

10+ years of experience in Murex Back Office functionality : Trade Event, confirmation, settlement, fixing, netting, SSI, OSP, Swift msg, etc...

Exposure to Accounting for Trade & position configuration.

Understanding of Financial Markets, Treasury and related Asset-classes

Good understanding of Murex architecture, Post trade workflows

Good working knowledge of MxML Exchange module (interfaces) in MX.3

Experience in developing data dictionary formula

Experience in integrating standard external systems with Murex

XML, XSLT working experience

Good knowledge on Shell scripts, SQL

Good communication, documentation and stakeholder management skills

Nice to have

Familiarity with FX, Equity and Credit Derivative products with a basic understanding of the models to price these products.

Ability to prepare the test cases based on user requirements and take the lead/assist in execution of those and to get user signoffs based on that

Murex 3.1 Architecture is an added advantage

Knowledge in Regulatory reporting will be added advantage
