Tesla seeks a detail-oriented Inventory Control and Quality Assurance Specialist for its Energy division in Ravenhall. Responsibilities include performing daily cycle counts, identifying and resolving inventory discrepancies, conducting quality inspections, and collaborating with warehouse teams to improve accuracy. The role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in inventory systems (e.g., WARP, MOS/MES, SAP), and the ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities. The successful candidate will utilize computers, scanners, and specialized software, and will be responsible for variance reconciliation, reviewing network quality claims, auditing warehouse locations, and assisting with general material handling as needed. The role involves meeting key performance indicators (KPIs) for cycle counts and improving inventory accuracy.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Inventory Control and Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. The ICQA role is to provide experience and expertise in performing daily cycle counts, reviewing, troubleshooting inventory transaction issues, quality inspections, and working closely with Warehouse and Material Handling to correct issues and local management, with the primary goal of verifying and improving inventory accuracy.  

What You’ll Do
  • Performs daily cycle counts of on-site materials providing accurate cycle count metrics to inventory control and financial leaders while meeting/exceeding cycle count objectives and KPI’s each week/month
  • Ability to maintain and reference Inventory records as needed
  • Identifies on-site inventory discrepancies, investigates root causes and recommends improvements to cross-functional teams for the purpose of obtaining high levels of inventory accuracy. Performs and assists with variance reconciliation, and correction transactions.
  • Complete daily quality inspections, verifying pick accuracy and provide discrepancy feedback for on-site root cause and correction by the warehouse team
  • Review network quality claims, investigates root causes to provide reconciliation and monitor claim status to completion
  • Audit network warehouse locations for accurate inventory, slotting, labeling and best practice execution
  • Use computers, scanners, printers, and specialized software to identify and verify material while assisting with general material handling and inventory control activities as required
What You’ll Bring
  • Previous experience as a cycle counter or inventory control associate and knowledge of inventory systems (WARP, MOS/MES, SAP or equivalent) 
  • Strong computer and analytic skills, especially Excel (intermediate level required) 
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to identifying data inaccuracies 
  • Ability to work independently on daily tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment while being adaptable to changing priorities
  • Trained to operate mobile equipment, or ability to obtain certification within 30 days (must have valid Australian driver's license)
  • Must be able to lift up to 20kg on a regular and repetitive basis 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to articulate data analysis and collaborate effectively across Warehouse stakeholders
  • Flexible schedule to collaborate with the adjacent team(s) in NAM region, as needed
