Job Description & Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Capital Planning and Financial Audit Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of capital planning processes, including CCAR, capital adequacy, and management, as well as a solid grasp of the Basel III Endgame (FRTB). This role requires an individual with robust control awareness, project management capabilities, and exceptional analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills. Experience with data analytics, particularly using Excel, is a plus. The candidate should possess 4-6 years of experience focusing on controls within business lines or capital planning, along with a good understanding of liquidity metrics such as LCR and NSFR.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough reviews and assessments of capital planning processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements such as CCAR and Basel III Endgame (FRTB).
  • Evaluate and enhance capital adequacy and management strategies.
  • Provide financial sector audit support, focusing on identifying and strengthening significant controls.
  • Work independently to manage and deliver projects within set deadlines, utilizing strong project management skills.
  • Analyze complex data and present findings in a clear and concise manner, leveraging data analytics tools such as Excel.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Maintain a control-focused mindset, proactively identifying potential risks and recommending improvements.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and regulatory changes affecting capital planning and liquidity metrics, including LCR and NSFR.

Mandatory skill sets:

Capital Planning and Regulatory Knowledge: Expertise in capital planning, including CCAR, and familiarity with Basel III Endgame (FRTB), as well as liquidity metrics like LCR and NSFR. Audit and Controls Experience: Proven experience in financial sector audit support with a focus on assessing and strengthening controls. Project Management and Analytical Skills: Strong project management capabilities and analytical skills for data assessment and interpretation. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration.

Preferred skill sets:

  • Experience in financial institutions or consulting firms.
  • Certification such as CFA, CPA, or FRM is advantageous.
