Title: Financial Analyst
Location: Virtual, remote worker location possible
You will be part of the PlayStation Studios Finance group to support the Global Tech, Creative and Services Group. This role will play a critical part in supporting our operational expenditures (OPEX), budgeting, forecasting, actuals, accruals, headcount and salary tracking, and financial reporting. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the monthly and quarterly business reviews, performing ad hoc analysis, and creating data-driven insights to support decision-making.
Main Responsibilities:
Partner with department heads to develop a full understanding of their organization’s strategic priorities, resource and headcount needs, and partner with them to execute and improve financial planning, budgeting, and reporting
Develop and produce regular and ad-hoc reports to support decision making at various levels of management
Act as a trusted business partner for service group department leads
Perform critical analysis of departmental performance through analysis of important metrics
Monitor cost allocation reporting for service groups and assist with initiatives to improve allocation rates
Partner closely with key regional department representatives and finance staff in Asia, UK, and US developing proven understanding of regional accounting practices and ensuring timelines and results are met
Track global headcount and perform cost impact analysis on headcount movements
Facilitate month and quarter end close (accruals) and inter-company transactions
What We’re Looking For:
Education and Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
ACA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA qualification
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
Minimum 2-4 years of experience working in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (pivots, sumifs, vlookups etc)
Be versatile, working with large volumes of data
Ability to quickly assimilate new processes and technologies
Personal time management skills and the ability to work under pressure to ensure that deadlines are met
Strong communication skills
Highly organized person that pays attention to the details
Self-starter with ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Interest in Games and passion for the Game industry
Experienced in SAP, Oracle or other accounting packages
Collaborative worker in cross functional/regional teams
Desirable:
Prior work experience in Game Industry or Media & Entertainment
Experience with financial ERP systems (SAP, Oracle or other accounting packages)
Exposure to OLAP planning applications such as Planning Analytics

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.
Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

$87,200 - $130,800 USD
