You'll be working with colleagues based across the region in at least three distinct locations. We work as a team together with the aspiration to provide trusted IT services and project support to the bank to support the ambitious growth plans. As a test engineer, you'll play an important role in making sure we achieve both business and technology objectives
Understand the ETL migration requirements and create a detailed test strategy for validating data pipelines.
Develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts for ETL workflows and data transformations (for SIT/UAT/NFT cycles to ensure the solution delivers the required system specifications and capabilities).
Define data quality checks and validation metrics to ensure consistency and accuracy during migration.
Payment domain experience e.g. basic payments domain knowledge, SWIFT messages (MTXXX) etc.
Compare and validate data outputs between the existing SAS DI system and the new Python-based ETL pipelines.
Verify data extraction, transformation, and loading processes on AWS EMR, S3, and Snowflake.
Perform functional, integration, and regression testing for all ETL workflows.
Must have
Strong SQL skills for querying, comparing, and validating large datasets.
Experience in testing ETL pipelines and data transformations. Familiarity with Python for test automation and scripting.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS services like S3, EMR, and Snowflake.
Knowledge of SAS DI is highly desirable for understanding legacy pipelines.
Minimum 8 years of experience in QA/testing, with a focus on ETL and data engineering projects.
Prior experience testing ETL migrations from legacy systems like SAS DI to modern platforms is a plus.
Excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
