Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our DevOps team in building, deploying, and maintaining infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, infrastructure management, and a passion for automation and continuous improvement. You will be responsible for managing a team of DevOps engineers, ensuring high availability and scalability of our services, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

What you’ll be working on?

Team Leadership & Management

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of DevOps engineers, fostering their growth and professional development.
• Collaborate with software development, QA, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
• Set clear goals and expectations for the team, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide ongoing feedback.
  
  

Infrastructure & Operations

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure using cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Oversee the management of servers, databases, and networking resources to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  
  

CI/CD Pipeline Management

• Design and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate the software development process.
• Ensure efficient and reliable build, test, and deployment processes using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate testing, security, and monitoring into the CI/CD pipelines.
  
  

Security & Compliance

• Work closely with the Information Security Team and Implement and enforce security best practices across all infrastructure and deployment processes.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including data protection and privacy requirements.
  
  

Monitoring & Incident Management

• Implement monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve infrastructure and application issues.
• Lead incident response efforts, including root cause analysis and the development of preventive measures.
  
  

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to provide updates on infrastructure status, issues, and improvements.
  
  

What are we looking for?

Educational Background

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  
  

Experience

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps, software engineering, or infrastructure management.
• 3+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role within DevOps or engineering teams.
• Proven experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure management.
• Strong experience with CI/CD tools and practices.
  
  

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Shell.
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Strong experience in CI/CD tools - GitHub actions, ArgoCD etc.
• Knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk) and logging frameworks.

• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams and departments.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
