Disney Theatrical Group is currently seeking an enthusiastic, organized multi-tasker to join our team as a Theatrical Licensing intern. This intern will work and learn all aspects of the stock & amateur Theatrical Licensing business including: upkeep and maintenance of a robust musical theatre catalogue, the development of new shows for stock & amateur release, the creation and publication of script and score materials, and close collaboration with other departments and external partners in areas including marketing, finance, and education. This individual will support the Director, Theatrical Licensing.
This internship is a full-time commitment in the NYC, New York area from May 27, 2025 - August 8, 2025. A cover letter is required for the Disney Theatrical Group Licensing Intern, Summer 2025 position.
What You Will Do:
Organize and update physical & digital archives of theatrical materials, including script documents and logo artwork files
Assist in the release of new titles into the catalogue, including proofreading, content writing, and marketing support
Help execute program initiatives to mark the 20th anniversary of Disney Theatrical Licensing
Support the workflow and publication of printed and digital materials for Disney’s musical theatre catalogue of licensed titles, including scripts, scores, artwork, and educational content
Assist with the day-to-day operation of Disney’s Theatrical Licensing business
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Interest in musical theater licensing business, especially shows geared toward performers aged K-9
Experience using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Experience working in collaborative environments and managing multiple projects
High attention to detail
Excellent problem solving and communication skills
Strong writing ability and command of grammar
Collaborative and positive attitude, with an eagerness to learn
Genuine Interest in theatre, entertainment, or The Walt Disney Company
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
Experience with Adobe InDesign or other graphic design
Education:
Pursuing an undergraduate degree in business, marketing, theater, music, or related field
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship. Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization

Additional Information:
Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
Fully available from Monday through Friday, 9am - 6pm EST for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the New York City, New York area
Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
