Summary

The Director of Product Management for Payroll Products at Cast & Crew will lead the development and execution of product strategy for next-generation timekeeping platforms. This role requires defining product roadmaps across various entertainment sectors (Film, TV, Streaming, Commercial, Live Entertainment), mentoring a team of Product Managers, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders (Engineering, UX, Marketing, Customer Success, Payroll Operations, Sales). The ideal candidate will leverage data-driven decision-making using tools like Amplitude and Pendo, overseeing the redesign and replatforming of existing products to meet modern UX standards. Responsibilities include ensuring product design and functionality meet market needs and company standards, driving Go-To-Market strategies, and gathering customer insights.
Must have:
  • 7+ years B2B SaaS product management (HR/Workforce Management preferred)
  • UX design system expertise, proven UI improvement track record
  • Strategic planning, user research, data analysis proficiency
  • Experience managing product teams and large-scale projects
  • Data-driven decision making using analytics tools
Good to have:
  • CSPO, PSPO, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, Design Thinking certifications
  • Generative AI/ML technologies experience
  • Canadian market and Entertainment Industry familiarity

Position Overview:

That's why we're looking for a talented Director of Product to join Cast and Crew on our journey to transform a historically manual workflow industry.

The Director of Product Management will be the pivotal force for our company's expansion into new markets and a key leader for our platform's timekeeping workflow pillar. This role combines strategic vision with hands-on execution to drive product success in North America.  You will lead the discovery and delivery of our next gen solutions partnering with cross functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute product strategy for our next-generation platforms for Time Keeping, ensuring that design and functionality meet market needs and company standards while also overseeing our existing products responsible for timekeeping making sure they satisfy customer needs.
  • Drive the roadmap priorities across our Film, TV, Streaming, Commercial and Live Entertainment sectors for time keeping.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Product Managers, instilling a strong focus on UX design systems to enhance user experience and ensure cohesive product interfaces.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, UX, Product Marketing, Customer Success, Payroll Operations, and Sales to drive Go-To-Market strategies and gather impactful customer insights, with a strong emphasis on user-centered design principles.
  • Utilize analytics tools like Amplitude and Pendo to drive data-driven decision-making, and oversee the redesign and replatforming of existing products to align with modern UX standards.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, preferably in HR or Workforce Management.
  • Expertise in UX design systems, with a proven track record of implementing effective user interfaces and improving user experience in software products.
  • Strong proficiency in strategic planning, user research (both generative and evaluative), and data analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with analytics instrumentation tools and familiarity with leading-edge design and prototyping tools.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing product teams and guiding large-scale projects.
  • Certifications: CSPO, PSPO, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, Design Thinking, Generative AI/ML technologies preferred.

Experience Requirements:

  • Prior leadership role as a Principal, Group Product Manager, or Senior PM managing large user bases.
  • Experience in managing direct reports.
  • Familiarity with the Canadian market and Entertainment Industry is preferred.

Performance Metrics:

  • Customer adoption and satisfaction (Customer Effort Score, NPS).
  • New customer acquisition in US/Canada.
  • Delivery of release commitments on a quarterly basis.
  • Timely execution of strategic initiatives.

Compensation is commensurate with various factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, training, licensure, certifications, geographic cost of labor, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation range for candidates in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
The compensation range for this position is:
$170,000$220,000 USD
