The Crown Is Yours

As a Partnership Activation Director, you’ll be the driving force behind building and enriching world-class team and league partnerships. You will lead a dedicated team that is tasked with optimizing our rights and asset mixes with team and league partners. You will work closely with marketing, product, content, PR, and business development teams to influence external partnerships. Experience leading teams that collaborate internally, externally, and across the sports industry will make you a great fit for this role. As an advocate with external partners, you will be expected to have a deep understanding of how the portfolio of DraftKings products can impact the fan experience. 

What you’ll do as a Director, Partnership Activation

  • Lead development of DraftKings partnership activation strategy through collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners.

  • Educate stakeholders on available assets, rights, and funding for partnerships, while optimizing the asset portfolio.

  • Identify new audience expansion opportunities and develop strategic plans for all DraftKings products.

  • Build strong relationships with strategic partners and manage licensing requirements and compliance protocols.

  • Provide insight and guidance throughout the partnership lifecycle, ensuring clear communication of rules and guidelines from leagues and teams.

  • Oversee tentpole activation strategies, creative processes, and coordination of approvals, while managing budgets and activation funds.

  • Track internal processes and deadlines for seamless execution, and lead junior team members in their career development.

What you’ll bring   

  • At least 10 years of strong partnership management experience, ideally in the sports or entertainment industry.

  • A Bachelor's Degree in marketing, business, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of management experience.

  • Preferred experience in partnership activation, with a focus on NBA, combat sports, women’s sports, and soccer.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, results-driven, analytical, and self-starting environment.

  • Ability to take direction from the top while overseeing a team to achieve a common goal.

  • Travel required for this role.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is 151,800.00 USD - 189,800.00 USD, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
