We’re looking for an experienced Development Director who can anchor communication across the team, manage multiple workflow-dependencies and risks, and help the team hit their development goals.

Reporting to a Development Director II, you will manage a development team consisting of mostly Software Engineers.

Responsibilities

  • You will work with feature development teams to lock down requirements and specifications.

  • You will develop roadmaps and schedules for important milestone deliverables by collaborating with Department leads and Producers.

  • You will ensure other department dependencies are accounted for.

  • You will raise project risks to the production team and project leadership.

  • You will need to identify task-related processes to improve efficiency

  • You will provide regular status reporting and capacity plan updates.

  • You will track and implement project improvement plans to promote team efficiency.

  • You will need to establish engagement processes: Ensure all workflows are clearly defined, processes are documented, and staff trained in expectations of their roles.

  • You will mentor individual contributors within the project team and may have direct reports to provide career management and .

Required Skills

  • 5+ years Project Management or Project Lead experience.

  • 3+ years of People Management experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in any number of related fields including Computer Science, Game Development, Business, 3D Arts.

  • Excellent knowledge of production life cycle, processes, and project planning.

  • Experience in a Scrum / Agile software development environment.

  • Experience with Jira/Jaas, Perforce, and Visio

Additional Skills

  • A Masters degree

  • Degree in a technology related field

  • Experience working on live or online development
