En tant que concepteur technique - systèmes de jeu, vous développerez et intégrerez des composants techniques et systémiques complexes dans le jeu. En tant que ressource technique pour l'équipe de conception du jeu, vous fournirez de l'aide, du soutien et des conseils à vos pairs si nécessaire, et vous servirez de pont entre les équipes de conception du jeu, de conception de niveau et d'ingénierie. Vous pourrez également être appelé à devenir l'expert technique du projet sur un aspect spécifique du jeu.

Responsabilités:

  • Travailler avec les directeurs techniques des systèmes de jeu, les programmeurs et les professionnels de diverses disciplines pour développer et exécuter les composantes techniques d'un élément de jeu.
  • Servir d'expert technique sur un sujet spécifique, gérer les outils et la documentation, offrir un soutien technique, et établir et défendre les meilleures pratiques.
  • Prototyper des éléments de jeu et effectuer des tâches de production au sein de l'équipe de conception du jeu.
  • Concevoir et mettre en œuvre des éléments plus complexes et techniquement difficiles dans la conception du jeu.
  • Fournir régulièrement un retour d'information à l'équipe, y compris des recommandations pour améliorer les outils et les méthodes.
  • Participer aux tests des nouvelles fonctionnalités et des nouveaux outils avant leur lancement.
  • Participer à l'optimisation et à la validation des données, en gardant à l'esprit les limites budgétaires et en veillant au respect des normes techniques.
  • Participer au dépannage et à la correction des erreurs de données et des bogues tout au long de la production.

Qualifications :

  • 7 ans d'expérience ou plus dans la conception/le développement de jeux vidéo
  • Diplôme universitaire ou collégial en informatique, en conception/développement de jeux ou expérience équivalente en développement de jeux.
  • Familiarité avec Unreal Engine 5 ou des moteurs similaires.
  • Bonnes aptitudes à la communication. Capacité à comprendre et à transmettre des concepts techniques, ainsi qu'à formuler clairement des idées, tant à l'oral qu'à l'écrit.
  • Flexibilité et solides compétences en matière d'analyse et de résolution de problèmes.

 Senior Technical Designer – Game systems

As a Technical Designer – Game Systems, you will develop and integrate intricate technical and systemic design components into the game. Acting as a technical resource for the Game Design team, you will provide help, support, and advice to your peers as needed, and serve as a bridge between the Game Design, Level Design and Engineering teams. You may also be called upon to become the project's technical expert on a specific aspect of the game.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside Game Systems Technical Directors, Programmers, and professionals from various disciplines to develop and execute the technical components of a game feature.
  • Serve as a technical expert on a specific subject, manage tools and documentation, offer technical support, and establish and advocate for best practices.
  • Prototype gameplay features and perform production tasks within the game and game design team.
  • Design and implement more complex and technically challenging elements in the design of the game.
  • Regularly offer feedback to the team, including recommendations for enhancing tools and methods.
  • Assist in testing new features and tools prior to their release.
  • Assist with data optimization and validation, keeping budget limitations in mind and ensuring adherence to technical standards.
  • Participate in the troubleshooting and fixing of data errors and bugs throughout production.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in game design/development
  • A university or college degree in computer science, game design/development, or equivalent game development experience
  • Familiarity with Unreal Engine 5 or similar engines.
  • Good Communication skills. Able to understand and conveying technical concepts, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas both verbally and in writing.
  • Flexibility along with a solid foundation in analysis and problem-solving.
