Summary

UnitedHealth Group's ETIPS (Enterprise Technology Infrastructure, Platforms & Services) team is seeking a Cloud Operations Analyst to contribute to their cloud migration. Responsibilities include developing new Kubernetes services, providing on-call SRE support for a production Kubernetes environment, integrating the platform with enterprise tools via REST APIs, working with vendors on high-priority issues, and defining/building/supporting the Kubernetes infrastructure. The role also involves defining standards, automating tasks, consulting with developers, participating in product evaluations, and contributing to open-source projects. Rotational 12x7 on-call support is required with offshore evening coverage.
Must have:
  • 3+ years Kubernetes Administration
  • 2+ years AWS/Azure/GCP Integration
  • 3+ years software development (Python, Golang, Java)
  • Develop new Kubernetes services
  • On-call SRE support

Project description

Enterprise Technology Infrastructure, Platforms & Services (ETIPS) is leading the modernization of UnitedHealth Group legacy and on-prem landscape with a thoughtful migration to the cloud to help create more flexibility for speed and stability for end users. As the owner of ETIPS technology portfolio, we are exploring new ways of delivering these investments and seeking a strategic partnership to co-deliver and accelerate our ambitious and innovative agenda. Vendor will provide technology services for Core Technology components.

Responsibilities

Developing new Kubernetes service from ground up

Participate in on-call SRE support of a Production Kubernetes environment.

Develop integrations of Kubernetes platform with existing enterprise tools via REST API

Work with vendors on high priority issues

Rotational 12x7 on call support with offshore evening coverage

Define/Build/Support technical infrastructure environment for Kubernetes platform

Define and document standards and guidelines

Develop and automate repeatable tasks

Consult with development users; determine requirements and recommend solutions

Participate in product evaluations, design review session, data requirement meetings and consulting with application development products

Contribute to open-source projects that we use to drive continuous improvements

Skills

Must have

3+ years of Kubernetes Administration

2+ years in at least one of AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform Integration

3+ years of software development experience such as Python or Golang, or Java

Nice to have

Healthcare-specific is a plus
