CDC QA Engineer

Responsibilities

• Analyse business and functional requirements to ensure completeness and derive valid test cases.
• Implement procedures to guarantee that all information systems products and services meet organization standards and end user requirements.
• Develop master test plans to detail the overall testing strategy for projects.
• Implement test scripts to validate software, detailing test scenarios, defects, and resolutions
• Evaluate and maintain both manual and automated test cases and procedures.
• Analyse test results and review test plans and supporting execution documentation as needed.
• Provide risk assessments throughout test cycles and build a lesson learned summary upon project completion.
• Write test plans for application functionality and software systems as per standards.
• Present information optimally in both written and verbal forms to management, internal customers, and other technical personnel.
• Serve as the main contact for other test engineers requiring automation support. Exhibit strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities to address sophisticated data challenges.
• Showcase a history of delivering significant, data-centric solutions that drive business success. Adapt to the dynamic and fast-paced work environment of Bangalore, demonstrating flexibility and resilience.
• Coordinate with ETL developers to ensure detailed data integration in line with established data models.
• Explain sophisticated QA concepts in a straightforward and understandable way to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  
  

Candidate Profile / Key skills

• Over four years of QA experience with demonstrable ability to improve QA automation processes and lead initiatives.
• Proficient in leading data-centric clients.
• Experienced in crafting, implementing, and driving test cases.
• Skilled in identifying and resolving root cause issues.
• Strong conceptual and logical thinking abilities.
• Experienced in validating end-to-end ETL data pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with databases/data warehousing, including Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, AWS Redshift, or Snowflake.
• Cloud experience (AWS/Azure) is a plus.
• Strong SQL analysis skills and Experience in JIRA, Asana or any other relevant defect flow tool. Data Quality framework implementation is an added advantage.
• Experience in regulatory, risk, or financial domain is an advantage.
• Proficient in test automation using Python (Pytest), Cucumber, SAS Enterprise Guide tool or similar frameworks.
