Job Description

As a Body Shop Maintenance Technician at Tesla's Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg, you'll ensure the smooth operation of maintenance for Tesla Model Y production. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing complex production machinery, performing preventative maintenance, documenting all work, and adhering to safety regulations. You will work with a team, troubleshooting issues, and improving processes. Ideal candidates possess vocational training (electronics technician, industrial mechanic, etc.), experience in production machine maintenance (automotive experience preferred), strong organizational skills, a hands-on mentality, and proficiency in German (English is a plus).

What You’ll Do
As a Body Shop Maintenance Technician (m/f/d), you will be responsible for the smooth running of all maintenance work, as well as ensuring the sustainable production of the Tesla Model Y will be your everyday responsibility.


  • You eliminate simple errors and malfunctions mainly on our complex production machines
  • You carry out repair, maintenance, servicing and conversion work on all production machines according to specifications and also participate in preventive maintenance measures
  • You ensure comprehensive documentation of all maintenance, conversion and servicing work
  • You perform your work in compliance with all guidelines, safety and accident prevention regulations, including the consistent wearing of personal protective equipment
What You’ll Bring
  • You have completed vocational training as an electronics technician or industrial mechanic, maintenance mechanic, locksmith or have a comparable qualification
  • You have first work experience in the field of maintenance of production machines
  • You have relevant experience in production / manufacturing, ideally in the automotive industry
  • You know what's important in the automotive industry and can organize multiple tasks with equally high priorities, as well as set and achieve goals
  • You bring a hands-on mentality as well as a willingness to work shifts
  • You get excited about new trends in production and come up with creative solutions to improve processes and problems
  • You communicate at the same level with your team and have an empathy, with which you can positively influence the work performance of each team member (m/f/d)
  • You speak and understand German and additional English is desirable
