Job Description

Tesla is seeking a Body Repair Technician (Panel Beater) in Oakleigh, Australia to perform structural and cosmetic repairs on Tesla vehicles. Responsibilities include using advanced tools and eco-friendly processes to restore vehicles, repairing exterior panels, replacing parts (including body panels, suspension, and structural components), MIG welding, and adhering to Tesla repair procedures. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years' experience in automotive collision repair, excellent teamwork skills, proficiency in MIG welding, and experience with aluminum repairs and heavy damage on prestige vehicles. I-CAR Australia Welding certification is a plus. This is a full-time position offering competitive hourly pay plus Tesla equity.

Must have:

3+ years' automotive collision repair experience
Proficient in MIG welding
Aluminum repair experience
Excellent teamwork skills
Structural repair experience

Good to have:

I-CAR Australia Welding certification
Experience with prestige vehicles
Collision/Body Repair certificate

What You’ll Do

Perform Structural and cosmetic repairs on Tesla Model S, Model X, and Model 3 vehicles in accordance with Tesla-specific Repair procedures
Use Celette Frame Jigs for setting New Structural Components
Glue, Rivet, and Weld structural components being replaced
Repair exterior cosmetic panels via Metal Finishing and body filler
Replace all parts associated with collision repair including body panels, suspension parts, vehicle structure, Radiators, Airbags and Trim
Proficient in MIG Welding
Follow Standards and work in Teams
