Job Description

Onward Search seeks an Assistant Buyer for a 1-month, on-site contract position at an apparel and footwear company in Costa Mesa, CA. Responsibilities include managing the purchase order process, assisting with pricing strategies to maximize sales and margins, supporting assortment plans and sales forecasts, and analyzing sales data. Key Responsibilities:

Manage the purchase order process from start to finish, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
Assist with pricing strategies to maximize sales, margins, and inventory management, in alignment with fiscal goals.
Support the development of assortment plans and sales forecasts while writing reports and analyzing sales data to drive business decisions.

Requirements:

Proven experience in retail buying or a related field.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
