Job Description

The Artist II role at Aristocrat involves creating high-quality game assets and animations. Responsibilities include developing and updating artwork for video-based gaming projects, implementing content, ensuring efficient asset management and file organization, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, and adhering to project schedules and specifications. The role requires strong Adobe skills (After Effects and Photoshop), experience with asset control systems (like Perforce), and excellent communication skills. The candidate should have a keen eye for detail, be able to work efficiently within agile methodologies, and contribute to maintaining a high standard of game quality.

Must have:

5-8 years experience in relevant field
Strong Adobe skills (After Effects, Photoshop)
2D/3D gaming experience
Excellent communication skills
Asset control systems experience (Perforce)
Attention to detail

Good to have:

Storyboarding experience
Agile Scrum experience

• The Technical Artist creates top quality games that push the boundaries of gaming entertainment. The person is responsible
for visual quality, bringing the team under a consistent and unified direction and utilizing groundbreaking techniques and tools.

• To configure asset structures and implement static and animating content to support Artist and game developers for Class 3
Games across different EGMs and be responsible for ensuring high quality standards of games being delivered.

What You'll Do

• Develop/Update artwork and animation for video-based gaming projects

• Focus on Content implementation pipeline

• Ensure relevant processes regarding asset management, file organization, output • configuration is clearly and correctly executed

• Schedule and manage time efficiently - work with agile development leaders to plan work
• Deliver assets on time to specification with a thorough and complete attention to detail
• Responsible for having peer reviews to check work for accuracy and quality
• Various other duties include:

Game Documentation as per business need
Collaborate with multi-disciplined teams to achieve the highest quality games possible
Follow guidelines set by IndiSpice studio management to manage / develop art assets to support business
Bring in ideas/innovations to improve the overall process in terms of tools and processes

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree/BFA/MFA or equivalent work experience of 5-8 years in relevant field.
• Experience in 2D/3D gaming, 2D/3D game designing.
• Must have strong experience in Adobe products (After Effects and Photoshop).
• Ability to sketch or draw (digital or traditional) concepts and ideas, storyboarding is good to have.
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with global stakeholders.
• Experience in using Assets control systems (like Perforce).
• Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies will be a plus.
• A good eye for attention to detail and be willing to follow technical/compliance specifications.
