The Account Strategist at Google Customer Solutions (GCS) works with businesses of all sizes to develop and implement Google Ads strategies. Responsibilities include delivering against quarterly business goals, establishing client relationships through phone calls and email, conducting business pitches, owning a portfolio of small businesses, and driving customer growth. This role requires strong communication, analytical, and relationship-building skills, with a focus on understanding client needs and delivering impactful results. Fluency in English and Dutch is essential. The ideal candidate will have experience in advertising, sales, or marketing, along with familiarity with Google Ads.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years in advertising/sales/marketing
  • Fluent in English and Dutch
  • Client relationship management
  • Achieve quarterly business goals
  • Google Ads knowledge
Good to have:
  • Google Digital Workshop certification
  • Stakeholder influence
  • Storytelling abilities
  • Portfolio management
  • Multitasking and detail-oriented

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, online media environment, or marketing role.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Dutch fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Google Ads and online advertising, with Google Digital Workshop certification or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders internally and externally to deliver impact.
  • Ability to build compelling narratives and utilize storytelling as a client engagement strategy.
  • Ability to own a portfolio in an advertising or media sales context.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at a time, with effective attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver against quarterly business generations and product growth goals.
  • Establish relationships via phone calls or e-mail marketing and conduct regular phone consultations and business pitches with clients to advise them on how to get the return on their Google Ads investment.
  • Own a portfolio of small businesses by thoroughly understanding growth drivers identifying opportunities for growth, managing risks and building quarterly plans for achievement.
  • Drive customer growth by delivering customer sales experience and achieving customer business and marketing objectives.
