Job Description & Summary

The position reports directly to the Finance Manager and from time to time, to the Finance Director should the need arise. The Finance Analyst performs day to day Finance and compliance tasks and provides support to major accounting areas including but not limited to compliances, accounts reconciliation and regulatory reporting to government agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, examine, and analyse accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.

• Prepare and monitor compliance updates RRs, RMCs, and other memos (PEZA, BOI, FIRB, BIR, SEC and etc.)

• Compute taxes owed and prepare BIR tax returns (VAT and withholding taxes), ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements.

• Assists SA and Accounting Manager in the Input VAT Refund.

• Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and/or annual reports – accounts reconciliation, PEZA farm-in documents and report, headcount reconciliation, and others.

• Assist in audit activities – attend to queries from the external auditors.

• Assist in the renewal of Business Permit.

• Monitor delivery of properties for reporting purposes and prepares farm-in documents to PEZA

• Organize and maintain financial and compliance records/files

• Participate in ad hoc tasks, projects, documentation and reporting

• Contribute to process improvements for efficiency purposes

• R2R functions – month end close process.

• Assisting the FM for day to day transactions

• Assist the FM in special projects requiring Finance Team input and analysis

Education:

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy or other similar courses with Finance background 

Certifications:

• CPA would be an advantage, but not required

Essential Requirements:

• At least 1 year professional experience in accounting and finance function

• Strong knowledge of tax and accounting standards

Other Capabilities:

• Keen attention to details

• Highly analytical and can perform reconciliations of accounts

• Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

• Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills

• Proficiency in G Suite and M365

• Self-starter who is able to work independently.
