As a 3D Graphics Software Engineer in the AR team, you will contribute to the low level rendering pipeline of the 3D/AR framework that Google uses in products such as Search and Google Maps for phones and next-generation devices. Working closely with other engineers across AR and other cross-functional teams, you will identify rendering pipeline requirements to build and improve rendering features that help Google products provide the best 3D and AR experiences to users.

We're focused on making immersive computing accessible to billions of people through mobile devices, and our scope continues to grow and evolve.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $161,000-$239,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Design and build 3D rendering features inside our framework.
  • Analyze 3D rendering performance and investigate performance improvements.
  • Collaborate with engineers across partner rendering teams on rendering functionality.
  • Work closely with customers of the 3D/AR framework, to define, prototype, build and test rendering features.
  • Ensure the correct functioning of the 3D/AR framework by monitoring its functionality and investigating issues.
