Job Description

The Sr. Business Analyst – Tesla Energy Operations in Amsterdam will provide data-driven insights to EMEA business leaders. Responsibilities include partnering with data engineering to ensure data integrity, collaborating with headquarters for global reporting alignment, and conducting accurate performance analyses. The role involves working with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, sales, finance, etc.) to design process indicators, facilitating forums to review KPIs, managing reporting prioritization, optimizing reporting programs, and automating tasks using Python and SQL. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills, along with expertise in SQL and Python, data visualization tools, and database management. Experience with renewable energy is a plus.

What to Expect

The Business Analytics mission is to enable a data driven business and generate knowledge from our data. The Analyst is responsible for providing data and insights on our business performance and associated processes to the Energy EMEA business leaders. By using data and reporting metrics to identify potential problems, you will drive change across the organization by assisting teams with data-driven insights. An ideal candidate is skilled at data analytics, reporting, and data processing concepts and is naturally motivated to seek out and fix problems in a methodical way.

What You’ll Do

Interface with business leaders to receive and distill requirements via thorough analytical support and reporting
Partner with data engineering team to ensure data integrity and correct mapping across various Tesla systems
Partner with Headquarters to ensure reporting is globally aligned
Provide accurate and insightful analysis and reporting of Tesla Energy’s business performance
Work with engineering, product management, sales, finance, business operations, logistics, service, IT stakeholders to design process performance indicators
Prepare and facilitate various cross-functional forums to review product and business key performance indicators
Manage the reporting prioritization process, work with global analytics team to optimize existing report program
Automate repetitive tasks with Python and SQL and write clean, tested codes that can be maintained and extended upon by other analysts

What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
4+ years of experience in business analytics or data management experience
Expert SQL and proficient Python user
Proficiency in using data visualization tools (i.e., Tableau, PowerBI, etc.)
Firm grasp of database management and database performance concepts
Demonstrated ability to provide insights and conclusions from large, dense datasets
Excellent interpersonal communication and collaboration skills – and the ability to operate in a highly cross-functional environment
Self-motivated, fast learner capable of first principle thinking in an ever-changing data landscape
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Experience with renewable energy generation systems is a plus
