Job Description

ByteDance is seeking Software Engineers to join its TikTok Business Integrity team in San Jose, CA. This role will focus on building highly scalable systems for ad fraud detection, risk control, ads integrity systems, and more. You will collaborate with strategy makers and machine learning engineers to build next-gen Risk Engine and ML training and serving frameworks. As a member of a rapidly growing and evolving organization, you will contribute to the success of the platform with speediness and quality. Analyze product objectives with Product and UX Design teams to deliver results aligned with project goals, and collaborate with PM and R&D teams globally in a fast-paced environment. You will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology or a related field, and one year of related work experience; OR, a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology or a related field, and three years of related work experience. Must have experience in developing software using Java, Go, C++, JavaScript, Ruby, or Python; designing and implementing User Interfaces and scripts to automate common flows using HTML, JavaScript, Python, or Ruby; maintaining and debugging software; designing and implementing software service architecture to support high throughput and fault tolerant services; experience in modern software tech stack, including large-scale backend systems and web applications; and using Unix/Linux operating system.

Must have:

Developing software using Java, Go, C++, JavaScript, Ruby, or Python
Designing and implementing User Interfaces and scripts to automate common flows using HTML, JavaScript, Python, or Ruby
Maintaining and debugging software
Designing and implementing software service architecture to support high throughput and fault tolerant services
Experience in modern software tech stack, including large-scale backend systems and web applications
Using Unix/Linux operating system

Qualifications

Of the required experience, must have one year of experience in each of the following skills: Developing software using Java, Go, C++, JavaScript, Ruby, or Python; Designing and implementing User Interfaces and scripts to automate common flows using HTML, JavaScript, Python, or Ruby; Maintaining and debugging software; Designing and implementing software service architecture to support high throughput and fault tolerant services; Experience in modern software tech stack, including large-scale backend systems and web applications; and Using Unix/Linux operating system. 【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $199534 - $250000 annually.​
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​
