We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

PayPal, Inc. seeks Software Engineer 3 in Austin, TX

Job Duties: Implement and support complex, backend distributed software application framework for unifying identity across PayPal. Improve performance, scalability, and other production issues in a time critical environment for PayPal's Identity platform. Participate in peer code reviews, triage, solve live issues, and contribute to implementation of efficient software design patterns. Contribute to the development and quality deliverables for Identity Services utilizing Java, REST APls, Oracle SQLs, and Java 8 coding techniques. Design scalable and efficient relational data models to store identity information across distributed systems. Participate in the design and development of one or more product features or sub­systems for linking identities across PayPal's clients. Produce code that is sufficiently supported by unit tests and functional tests. Develop and maintain technical documentation related to the project. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.

 Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
