Job Description

As a Silicon Operations Production Planner at Google, you'll be part of a team creating custom silicon solutions for Google's direct-to-consumer products. Responsibilities include creating and processing purchase orders, communicating with suppliers to track order status and resolve issues, monitoring order progress and expediting deliveries, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring correct specifications, quantities, pricing, and delivery terms. You will contribute to the innovation behind products used by millions, shaping the next generation of hardware experiences. The role requires strong communication skills and attention to detail, working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials and components. This position is crucial for the smooth operation of Google's silicon supply chain.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering
5+ years manufacturing engineering experience
Process management, demand planning, quality control experience
Semiconductor/electronics industry experience
Purchase order creation and management
Supplier communication and issue resolution
Accurate record keeping

Good to have:

Master's degree in related field
SAP experience
Knowledge of semiconductor components and processes

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Process, or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
Experience the Process Management, Demand Planning, and Product Quality Control.
Experience in the semiconductor or electronics industry.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, or a related field.
Experience with SAP transaction model and business-to-business implementation.
Knowledge of semiconductor components, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Create and process purchase orders based on requisitions, ensuring correct specifications, quantities, pricing, and delivery terms. Communicate with suppliers to confirm order details and obtain acknowledgements.
Maintain regular communication with suppliers to track order status, address any inquiries or concerns, and resolve any delivery or quality issues that may arise.
Monitor order progress and expedite deliveries as needed to ensure timely receipt of materials and components. Follow up with suppliers on any delays or discrepancies.
Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier information, and other relevant procurement data in the company's systems.
