Job Description

This Senior TSQL Programmer and Batch Developer role is within the Client Discovery, Planning and Wealth Way team, providing engineering services to WMA business divisions of a Global Investment Bank. Responsibilities include leading a team, planning, collaborating with stakeholders, designing and developing large-scale applications, refining user requirements through TDD, analyzing incident root causes, and providing solutions. The role involves TSQL programming and batch development using Azure, Python, Perl, and Shell scripting. It focuses on developing efficient data flow and batch processes, creating end-to-end pipelines to load data from multiple sources into SQL tables, and working with cloud-based frameworks like MS Azure.

Must have:

Team Lead experience
5+ years TSQL programming (Azure Data Factory, Python)
Strong Perl/Shell scripting
TSQL code development, performance tuning, query optimization
Extensive batch/ETL creation with error handling
Understanding of relational databases (MSSQL, Azure SQL)
Knowledge of ETL processes (Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks)

Good to have:

BS in Computer Science or related field
Requirement/Strategic Analysis experience
Experience establishing cloud connectivity (ADLS, ADF, Synapse, Databricks, Axway)
Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services (Data Factory, Synapse, MSSQL DB, Azure SQL DB, Data Lake Storage Gen2, Blob Storage)

Project description

You'll be working in the Client Discovery, Planning and Wealth Way team. We provide engineering services to WMA business divisions of the Global Investment Bank. Together as team, we provide solutions to unique business/market requirements in line with the established Corporate IT Standards. As a Full Stack Developer, you'll play an important role in developing fa and client-facing applications.

Responsibilities

Leading the team, planning, collaborating with stakeholders

Design and develop large-scale applications

Collaborate to refine user requirements through test-driven development (TDD)

Analyze root causes of incidents and provide the solution

TSQL Programming and Batch Developing using Azure, Python, Perl and Shell scripting

Development Fundamentals, Design, Development, Maintenance, Testing and Implementation of efficient data flow and batch processes in applications.

Working on creating end-to-end pipeline to load data by reading from multiple sources and load to landing layer or SQL tables.

Skills

Must have

Team Lead experience

5+ years of experience in TSQL programming along with Azure Data Factory framework and Python scripting

Strong of Perl/Shell scripting

Experience in TSQL (MSSQL/SYBASE) code development, performance tuning, query optimization and extensive batch or ETL creation experience with better error handling.

Excellent understanding of relation transactional databases like MSSQL, Azure SQL and cloud-based framework like MS Azure.

Strong knowledge of Extraction Transformation and Loading (ETL) processes using frameworks like Azure Data Factory or Synapse or Databricks.

Nice to have

BS in computer science or engineering degree or a related field or equivalent work experience required.

Experience in Requirement Analysis, Strategic Analysis, Software

Experience in TSQL programming along with Azure Data Factory framework and Python scripting.

Establishing the cloud connectivity between different system like ADLS, ADF, Synapse, Databricks, Axway etc.

Hands-on experience in Azure cloud services like Azure Data Factory or Azure Synapse, MSSQL Db, Azure SQL DB, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Blob Storage etc.
