Your Team, Your Impact

Marvell Semiconductor is seeking a dynamic and experienced Principal Strategic Account Manager to join our Sales team in Santa Clara, CA. The sales professional will be responsible for driving sales growth and fostering strategic relationships within the networking, data center and security sectors. This role requires a deep understanding of each market landscape, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing key accounts. This role is designed for a visionary and strategic sales professional who has a proven track record of managing and growing high-value strategic accounts. The successful candidate will be responsible for cultivating deep relationships with key stakeholders, understanding their business needs, and aligning our innovative semiconductor solutions to drive mutual success.

What You Can Expect

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all matters related to key strategic accounts, building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of key account needs, business drivers, and how Marvell's product offerings can enhance their success.
  • Strategically manage and grow sales within these accounts by understanding their business and technology roadmap, as well as industry trends that may affect their demand for Marvell's solutions.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including product management, engineering, and marketing, to ensure timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to exceed sales quotas.
  • Prepare reports on account status, including Account Profiles, sales forecasts and account updates, to inform management of progress and roadblocks.
  • Provide feedback and intelligence on market trends, competitive landscape, and product requirements to Marvell's product and strategic planning teams.
  • Facilitate resolution of key customer issues by coordinating with the appropriate internal departments.
  • Lead solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management, specifically in the semiconductor or related high-tech industries.
  • Proven track record of managing and growing strategic accounts, with a deep understanding of the technology and business strategies utilized by leading semiconductor companies.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.
  • Strong listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and to lead.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments.
  • Must be willing to travel as needed to meet with customers and internal teams for sales for to inform management of progress and roadblocks.

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

138,620 - 207,620, $ per annum

The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
