As a Senior Lead Software Engineer, Android, you'll join a mobile team developing cutting-edge Sportsbook features using the latest native technologies. You’ll be joining a team that owns real-time sports betting, live scores, personalized recommendations, search, and streaming functionality. In this role, you will have an opportunity to transform product vision into high-quality features that put the customer first. 

What you’ll do as a Senior Lead Software Engineer, Android

  • Own the Android technology roadmap, advocate for technical priorities, and drive the architecture, design, development, testing, maintenance, and operations of Android apps written in Kotlin.

  • Mentor and guide Software Engineers, partnering with managers to deliver feedback and create growth opportunities.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Design, Product, Backend, and Platform stakeholders, and partner with iOS counterparts to ensure feature parity across platforms.

  • Serve as the primary Android engineering voice within the organization, syncing with team leads and business partners to define milestones and deliverables.

  • Lead design sessions, establish coding standards, and promote best software engineering practices to deliver high-quality code.

  • Tackle complex technical challenges and develop proof-of-concepts to drive innovation or reduce risks for upcoming projects.

What you’ll bring

  • Proven track record as a technical expert on Android development with extensive experience in Android architecture, Kotlin, and modern development practices like MVVM, MVI, and Jetpack Compose.

  • Deep understanding of Android’s internal complexities and proficiency in interfacing with backend systems through BFFs, APIs, and WebSockets.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide teams, prioritize customer experience, and drive high standards of software engineering practices across multiple teams.

  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and real-time decision-making abilities.

  • Experience with automated testing and writing comprehensive test suites across architecture levels.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is 156,000.00 USD - 195,000.00 USD, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
