About The Role

As the Senior Director of QA at Head Digital Works, you will inspire, lead, and grow a team of energetic and talented professionals. You’ll be responsible for strategizing efforts in alignment with business goals, adhering to quality and systems management standards. 
Additionally, you’ll oversee the development and execution of comprehensive testing and automation frameworks, ensuring the highest quality standards.

What will you do?

    • Collaborate with other technical and business stakeholders to understand their expectations and requirements related to quality assurance.
    • Translate business needs into actionable testing strategies and processes.
    • Lead the vision, quality values, and culture within the QA team.
    • Set strategic priorities to optimize business and functional deliveries.
    • Identify, implement, monitor, and promote best practices for quality assurance.
    • Ensure adherence to quality standards across all testing activities.
    • Understand the technologies at play that make up our product, and be able to tailor the quality practices.
    • Manage a team of testing professionals, fostering collaboration and growth.
    • Collaborate with key business stakeholders to align testing efforts with overall business goals.
    • Implement innovative and efficient testing methodologies.
    • Stay informed about upcoming trends in testing and incubate capabilities to meet future needs.
    • Responsible for managing end-to-end testing capability at the organizational level.
    • Measure and report overall testing performance, risks, and mitigation actions Periodically.
    • Strengthen and build the testing capability through well-established QA processes, with a focus on automation and tools.
    • Provide effective leadership to identify defects and issues at technical, product, and team levels.
    • Develop mitigation plans to address identified issues promptly.
    • Regularly interact with executive management on strategic testing initiatives that would provide value.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lead automation opportunities to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
    • Design key performance indicators (KPIs) and define key responsibility areas for QA Staff.
    • Optimize QA staff for maximum efficiency in terms of speed, accuracy, and quality.
    • Analyze the reasons for errors and ensure robust root cause analysis (RCA) processes.
    • Manage the manpower budget and participate in hiring decisions for the QA team.
    • Take responsibility for the career development and growth path of the QA team members.

What are we looking at?

    • Minimum of 17 years of relevant software product testing experience including Automation, manual testing
    • Good understanding in Application, Web and Mobile testing.
    • Experience with internet product launches.

    • Superior Product Quality

      Setup the right testing methodologies for helping maintain and improve the overall product quality that is desired for our business. - need to finetune
    • Define the metrics that are non-negotiable from a quality standard.
    • Implement practices that help maintain standards in a fast paced environment.
    • Suggest & implement tools and techniques that best suit the product.
    • Run initiatives within the entire tech organization that helps improve the product quality standards holistically.
    • Should be able to guide the teams on the best quality practices and optimize the time spent in quality checks progressively

    • Proven Leadership Qualities:
      As a QA Senior Director, strong leadership skills are essential. You’ll be responsible for guiding and motivating your team, making strategic decisions, and ensuring quality processes are effectively implemented. 

      Interpersonal, Communication, and Presentation Skills:

      Effective communication is crucial. You’ll need to collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and executives. Clear communication ensures alignment and successful project execution.

      Highly organized and Detail-Oriented:
    • QA Senior Directors oversee complex projects, so being organized and paying attention to details are vital. You’ll manage schedules, resources, and quality assurance processes.
    • Ability to handle multiple priorities. 
    • Customer Service Orientation:
    • Understanding the end-users’ needs and ensuring high-quality products or services is essential. A customer-centric approach helps drive quality improvements.
    • Work with CS & RM teams to understand the stated and unstated issues & opportunities to make the product better for customers.

    • Expertise in Project Management:
    • QA Senior Directors lead projects, so having project management skills is critical. You’ll handle timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

    • API, Security, Performance, and Automation Testing Experience:
    • A solid understanding of API testing, security testing, performance testing, and test
    • automation is necessary. These skills contribute to overall product quality and efficiency
    • Conversant with programming languages like Java and work with developers

    • Substantial experience in team building, driving hiring programs to attract top talent, and developing hiring strategies in collaboration with Talent Acquisition
