As Senior Director of Data Warehousing at Sinch, you will lead the design, implementation, and management of the data warehousing strategy. This includes overseeing data integration processes, working with stakeholders to define initiatives, developing ETL processes, establishing data governance best practices, and managing a team of data engineers and analysts. You'll ensure seamless data flow, timely and accurate data delivery, and align data warehousing with overall enterprise architecture. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in tools like Snowflake or Amazon Redshift, and excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. You will be instrumental in transforming data into actionable insights, empowering various teams across the organization and fostering a culture of data-driven decision making.
Must have:

At Sinch, we are on a mission to redefine how the world communicates through innovative technology solutions. Join us as we expand our Data team with the addition of a Senior Director of Data Warehousing, a pivotal role in guiding our data initiatives and enhancing our data architecture.

As the Senior Director of Data Warehousing, you will lead the charge in designing, implementing, and managing the data warehousing strategy that aligns with Sinch's overall business goals. You will be instrumental in transforming data into actionable insights, empowering various teams across the organization. Your leadership will foster a culture of data-driven decision-making while ensuring data quality, accessibility, and security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable data warehousing solutions that support business intelligence, reporting, and analytics.
  • Oversee and enhance data integration processes to ensure seamless data flow from various sources into the data warehouse.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the business to gather requirements and define data warehousing initiatives that meet strategic needs.
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes to ensure timely and accurate data delivery.
  • Establish best practices for data governance, quality assurance, and performance tuning within the data warehouse environment.
  • Manage a team of data engineers and analysts, providing mentorship and fostering their professional development.
  • Collaborate with IT and data architecture teams to align data warehousing capabilities with overall enterprise architecture.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, tools, and technologies to drive continuous improvement in data warehousing solutions.
  • Accelerate transformation of legacy data warehouse environments into go-forward environments that align w/Sinch's data strategy

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in data warehousing, ETL processes, and data integration. Familiarity with tools like Informatica, DBT, Matillion considered a plus
  • Basic understanding of enterprise data governance frameworks and committee structures
  • Proven track record of interfacing with executive level stakeholders, understanding their business needs, and helping them understand where data can help overcome their challenges
  • Strong proficiency with data warehousing tools and technologies such as Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, or equivalent.
  • Experience with SQL and data modeling techniques, including dimensional modeling.
  • Proven track record of leading data teams and managing complex data projects.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in agile methodologies and project management preferred.

The annual starting salary for this position is between $165,000.00 - $230,000.00 per year. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.
