Job Description

Senior Data Engineer needed for a leading global investment management firm. Responsibilities include daily participation in high-volume data transformations, managing project timelines and deliverables, designing software solutions by collaborating with various stakeholders (portfolio managers, traders, operations staff), developing scalable and efficient solutions aligned with client technology, and providing knowledge transfer to team members. The ideal candidate will possess strong SQL and Python coding skills, experience with Airflow, PySpark, and AWS (EMR, Athena, Hadoop).

Must have:

Responsibilities

Required daily participation in highly loaded data transformations.

Manage timelines/deliverables within the team towards the successful delivery of projects.

Design software solutions by interacting with portfolio managers, traders, operations staff and peers to understand requirements.

Develop solutions that are in line with client's technology biases, deliver efficiency and scalability, and enable new trading activities.

Provide knowledge transfer to team members and support staff through application demos, walkthroughs, and documentation.
