THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer at Xactly Corporation, you’ll have the opportunity to work on challenging cloud infrastructure projects.You’ll need to have a passion for wanting to take a software based approach to solving infrastructure challenges and help us run our “Infrastructure as Code” initiatives. A strong understanding of Linux, writing scripts/code in at least two languages, public clouds, troubleshooting are key for success in this role. And last but not least, you should have a strong background in implementing production SaaS environments and be comfortable and able to scope, plan and define architecture design requirements, driving implementation, performance tuning, maintenance and security.

THE TEAM

Xactly’s Infrastructure Operations team is a rapidly growing & diversified team with a focus on working with cutting-edge tools & technologies. We are a strong team spread across our engineering centers in the United States, Canada and India. All members of the team are encouraged to operate independently and with highest levels of accountability, while also being willing to work collaboratively in training, learning and developing of new skills. The Infra Ops team is dedicated to providing 24x7x365 system availability, conducting regular maintenance, release and upkeep for the infrastructure and service. Project based work which has company wide visibility and positive impact on the business is also a big part of the work.

THE SKILL SET

• 7+ years of relevant experience
• Strong coding skills in in at least one of the following - Python, Javascript, Ruby, Java
• Experience with cloud computing toolsets like - Terraform, Packer, etc.
• Experience with configuration management tools - Chef, Puppet, etc.
• Experience with public clouds - OCI or AWS
• Experience and knowledge of distributed systems, APIs, cloud computing
• Sysadmin level experience with a demonstrated knowledge of OS lifecycle management and the ability to solve complex OS troubleshooting - CentOS, OEL, RedHat
• Strongly versed across a variety of tools, hardware and software that include but are not limited to Cisco UCS, Pure Storage, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Harness, VMWare
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Nginx, HAProxy, NTP, DNS, SMTP
• Knowledge and the desire to automate manual tasks encountered in Xactly’s compute infrastructure, configuration management and applications
• Knowledge of Git, Jira
• Are detail oriented, have the ability to build reliable and scalable solutions
• Are able to debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues
• You’re self-driven, motivated, with a strong work ethic and passion for problem solving and are comfortable with context switching
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Bachelors/Masters degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred

• Have a strong understanding of the business, and begin teaching us a thing or two we don’t know
• Help us run our “Infrastructure as Code” initiatives.
• Have a thorough understanding of the technologies used by the teams you interact with and be able to suggest improvements and modifications

• Be able to work independently and help increase the velocity of development teams
