Job Description

This role involves participating in the test system flow definition, including test activities, equipment, and DUT preparedness. Responsibilities include VCU component verification (black/white box, acceptance, and regression testing), automating test cases in vTestStudio for various functional areas (Door, Alarm, Tailgate), creating and maintaining automation test frameworks in Python and C++, developing test methods in Carweaver, coordinating test activities, creating fault reports, reviewing supplier test reports, and analyzing logs to identify faults. The position requires independent log and measurement taking, collaboration with developers, and ensuring work meets acceptance criteria. Nightly HIL run analysis is also part of the role.
Must have:

  • Swedish B-driver license
  • Master's degree in relevant field

Project description

Participate in the process of test system flow by defining test activities, equipment, asset under test and DUT (Device Under Test) preparedness together with requirement owner and suppliers.

Responsibilities

Be responsible for the VCU component verification, i.e. black and white box test, acceptance test and regression test on deliverables from supplier (both inhouse and external)

Automate test cases in vTestStudio for Component-/Domain

and Complete testing in bench rig, HIL and on Vehicle. Test Cases to automate are from all functional areas within Door, Alarm and Tailgate not just VCU.

Create and maintain automation test framework in Python and C++ (EMON).

Test methods & test case development in Carweaver, planning and coordination of test activities together with rest of the team.

Create Fault reports and assign to receiver in such way that an investigation and solution can be provided under function or system owners leadership. Review and communicate with suppliers' test reports and results.

Independently take logs and measurement on the component and actuators and signals.

In collaboration with developer analyze logs to identify faults.

Ensure the work is delivered as per specified acceptance criteria and definition.

Read out and analyze nightly runs in our HILs

Skills

Must have

Programming knowledge in Python and C++

Knowledge and understanding how to read electrical schematics, use of instruments such as voltmeters and oscilloscopes

Experience from automotive industry

Experiences of the following tools is preferred: Elektra, Canalyzer/Canoe, Inca, DSA, Car config edit, Carcom, Team Center

Proven experience from manual and automated verification of embedded software, using tools like vector hardware & software

Swedish B-driver license

Master of Science within software, electronics, mechatronics or similar

Personal qualities

Passion for new technologies, software and hardware test and creating great user experiences.

Willing to take up the task that is most important for the team to progress.

A positive and easy-going mindset.

Strong self-driven ability.

Curious and communicative, the ability to write and verbally explain complex issues

Fluent in English
