  • 2 years of experience in Routing protocols, Network troubleshooting and Multi protocol Label Switching.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working in a customer-facing role at an Internet Service Provider, carrier, content network, or Content Delivery Network.
  • Experience working with cloud networking (VPC, Security Group, Access List, stateful/stateless firewall, etc.) and understanding of network operations at scale.
  • Knowledge of Software Defined Networking, including the understanding of the differences between control plane, data plane, and management plane.
  • Understanding cloud computing, Linux server environments, network design and deployment, managing large scale infrastructure.

Google Network Infrastructure team works on the systems to deliver compute and storage not available anywhere else through highly available network infrastructure. Our Google Wide Area Network (gWAN) Build and Safety team plans, designs and builds Google's global private WAN network. In this role, you will deliver the networking that enables all Google’s technical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-touch operational support for Google Cloud Platform (GCP) customers and peers.
  • Help customers resolve issues with network services, and assist with troubleshooting issues with connectivity and performance.
  • Validate and test customer configurations in an Interoperability lab environment.
  • Write workflow automation to improve the customer experience. Participate in on-call rotation for escalated issue
  • Lead improvements in documentation, playbooks, and training for support organizations and
    Network Operations Center (NOCs). Deliver process improvements and automated turn-up and service delivery.
