We are looking for a talented ​Mid CFX Artist with enthusiasm to join our great team on the exciting new project, Animated Feature TAD 4!!
​You will be responsible for ​simulating Hair & Cloth effects for 3D animated characters. Along with creating Cloth and Grooming setups.

First of all, you're probably interested in knowing that...we offer 100% remote work!


WE NEED YOU TO BE ABLE TO DO:
  • Create high quality and stunning 3D hair, beards, fur, feather, cloth simulations and deliver final character performance.
  • Work closely with the Director and the team to find the best technical and creative CFX solutions, to meet production needs and artistic direction of the project.
  • Understanding of how hair is styled/ cut.
  • Develop dynamic rigs for characters' hair and cloth.
  • Partner with (Animators, Effects, Lighting, Modelling team) to coordinate tight character, simulation and effects interaction and deal with corrections.
  • Ability to work autonomously and independently in a fully remote environment, with that comes the supreme individual responsibility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and maintain your own initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Great team player, create a collaborative and welcoming environment.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines, prioritize workload and within budgets, adhere to the production schedule and deliver completed assignments on time.
  • Align with the style, sensibility of the project and the Director vision.

WE WILL MAKE THE PERFECT MATCH IF YOU HAVE:
  • 3 - 5 years of professional experience from either animation TV series or feature animation movie.
  • Extensive knowledge of Yeti for grooming and Qualoth/nCloth/nHair for simulation. Other solvers knowledge is a plus.
  • Have strong visual, artistic skills and strong knowledge of the behavior of different cloths, weights and falls.
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physical behaviors and realistic motion.
  • Works within the established pipeline and offers constructive suggestions to improve the process.
  • Ability to take feedback constructively and implement it effectively, to reach the quality desired.
  • Anticipation and quick reaction for problem solving.
  • Demonstrate great autonomy and proactivity in your work.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and collaborative skills.

About The Company

Lightbox Entertainment is a brand new company born to create high quality 3D animation movies. Our first project is "Tadeo Jones"​, a film based on the character that won over 100 awards all over the world (including 2 Goya awards in 2006 and 2008) thanks to his two animation shorts.
