Lead Software Solution Architect responsible for transforming a large manufacturer's digital solutions. The role involves leading a team of product solution architects, developing manufacturing IT application strategies, and driving digital transformation. Key responsibilities include translating business demands into architectural requirements, documenting business and system requirements, providing multiple solution options, ensuring compliance with IT and security standards, and assessing application performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building high-loaded, scalable systems dealing with multiple real-time data sources from industrial equipment. Experience with .NET Core, Entity Framework, gRPC, TypeScript, Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure DevOps is essential.

Project description

You will be part of the team tasked to transform and equip the a large Manufacturer with digital solutions, skills and knowledge to strengthen World Class Manufacturing for competitive advantage. You will be responsible to make sure the standard solutions and services deployed integrate with the existing landscape in a proper and documented way.

Responsibilities

Leading group of product solution architects with alignment to strategic technology plans, driving agenda for technology steering group

-Develop the Manufacturing IT Application Strategy

Provide guidance and steer on the Target Application Architecture to the company Manufacturing community

-Drive the digital transformation of the Applications Architecture together with cross-functional Digital Manufacturing team

Translate business demands into architecture requirements

-Responsible to document business and system requirements

-Provide multiple optional solutions to business.

-Follow the company established IT and security standards, as well as architectural principles

-Assess the performance of, and value delivered by an application in use, or under review, and recommend removal of barriers or constraints that prevent the full realization of the value

-Carry out architectural design and documentation, re-using output from all other architects, joining detailed technical solutions to the overall architectural landscape, and focusing on manufacturing applications

-Estimate the financial impact of application architecture alternatives

Skills

Must have

-Strong hands-on background in building highloaded, balanced, scalable systems that deal with multiply datasources(industrial equipment) in real-time with critical latency and decision making mechanisms on fly; data-driven manufactory systems

-Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills to contribute as a leading member of global, distributed teams focused on delivering quality services and solutions for the global Manufacturing footprint

Bachelor's or Master 's degree Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or equivalent experience

10+ years overall experience in working various positions within IT, advantageous if with IT/digital transformation projects, including data engineering and/or cloud infrastructure for critical production and in an international environment

Broad experience on the full stack spectrum

.NET Core, Entity Framework, gRPC, TypeScript (React.js or Angular), Docker, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps & PaaS

-Advantageous if 7+ years in domain or solution architecture role in manufacturing domain, and MES experience-Experience in large scale design, implementation and operations

-Fluent in English, both verbal and in writing

Nice to have

-In-depth, hands on experience in defining and implementing a DevOps practice

-Experience with one or more DevOps practice management, backlogs, CI/CD, automation and containerization technologies such as K8S, Redhat OpenShift, Terraform and relevant Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services technologies

-Experience in software development and agile practices with multiple programming languages, advantageous if with C#, Java, JavaScript, Python and R

-Experience in Cloud Native Architectures, REST and APIs, Microservices, Git, Docker, K8S, SQL, NoSQL, Messaging

-Experience in Cloud Computing, as well as Edge Computing with relevant Public Cloud IaaS and PaaS services, advantageous if with infrastructure architecture and best practices experience
