Job Description

Lead DevOps Engineer needed for a modernization project of core business systems for a large insurance client. This project involves supporting Kubernetes applications, decoupling a monolithic application into smaller services, and migrating to a modern technology stack. Responsibilities include developing the Kubernetes platform, designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, automating operations throughout the SDLC, supporting development and QA teams, managing Azure infrastructure using IaC, and troubleshooting applications and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have production experience with Kubernetes, Helm, CRDs, cloud computing (VM, VMSS, networking), and monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Azure Monitor). Experience with Docker, Bash scripting, Jenkins pipelines, and strong problem-solving skills are essential.

Production Kubernetes experience
Kubernetes workload types, Helm, CRDs
Cloud knowledge (compute, networking)
Monitoring (Grafana, Prometheus)
Docker container experience
Bash scripting for automation
Jenkins pipelines
Independent work, problem-solving
English (Upper-intermediate)

Project description

Modernization project of core business systems for large insurance client. The activities include the support applications running in Kubernetes, decoupling monolith application to smaller services and migration to modern technology stack.

Responsibilities

Develop existing Kubernetes platform for containerized applications

Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to maintain the development and release activities

Perform automation of routine operations throughout entire SDLC

Support development, QA and external teams in scope of infrastructure

Manage Azure infrastructure using IaC tools

Perform troubleshooting activities over the applications and underlying infrastructure

Skills

Must have

Production experience with Kubernetes

Fluent knowledge of Kubernetes

workload types, Helm, CRDs

Solid Cloud knowledge

compute resources (VM, VMSS), networking

Monitoring

Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Azure Monitor

Working with Docker containers (Prepare, Build, Run)

Scripting languages (mostly Bash)

ability to write scripts for operations automation

Jenkins

pipelines, shared libraries

Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving mindset

English

Upper-intermediate (verbal and written communication)
