About the Position:

We are seeking a lawyer to join our legal team in Ukraine. The successful candidate will be a valuable team member in our practice providing legal advice and guidance on employment and immigration matters, legal support with structuring market entry projects and creation of business in Ukraine, as well as with exiting from the Ukrainian market. You will work closely with various teams within our large Tax, Legal & People practice and with external partners to ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and best practices in Ukraine and abroad.

Responsibilities:

Provide legal advice and support to multinational and local clients in the following areas: 

• Employment law, including projects related to: development of HR policies and documents, structuring of employment relations, hiring and dismissal procedures, consultancy support on remuneration matters, benefits & incentives

• Immigration law, covering visa matters,  advice on work permits and temporary residence permits obtaining and other regulations applicable to foreign nationals working in Ukraine

• Corporate law related to development and implementation of market entry and market exit strategies, creation and termination of legal presence of foreign companies in Ukraine, as well as providing the related on-going legal support.

You will be actively involved in performing legal analysis and research, drafting legal advice, drafting corporate and HR documents, communication with clients and state authorities focusing on delivery of high-quality service.
 

Qualifications, Skills, Values:

• Higher degree in Law (preferably Master’s degree from an accredited law school)

• Profound knowledge in the fields of corporate and employment law, understanding of other fields of Ukrainian law, desire to constantly learn and develop

• 3+ years of professional experience in a consulting/law firm

• Experience in projects related to setting up and closing business in Ukraine, providing legal advice in the employment and immigration law areas

• Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct in the practice of law, with a focus on achieving positive outcomes for business while mitigating legal risks

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work and hold attention on multiple tasks

• Strong communication and presentation skills

• Willingness to make personal contributions to common successes

• Proficiency in MS PowerPoint,

• Fluency in Ukrainian and proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
