Responsibilities

As a Configuration Manager within the Service Management function, you will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out daily end-to-end delivery of Configuration Management (CM) services in accordance with the configuration management plan. This includes documenting and implementing a framework to manage the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
  • Ensuring that all configuration items are captured accurately in the CMDB, and that all information required to deliver an IT service, including their relationships is maintained properly to support risk management, compliance, service management and other requirements.
  • Reviewing incident outage resolution results and responses and dispositions of failed changes due to issues related to the configuration management system and ensuring learning and improvements are captured.
  • Working with the Enterprise Architects and Data Compliance Architect to ensure that the correct data models are implemented.
  • Providing reporting and management information on the Configuration Items as part of the service catalogue and where required for regulatory reporting.
  • Tracking compliance to Configuration management policies and procedures and resolving or escalating any compliance issues. Also responsible to facilitating and contribute to CM audits.

Further we are looking for a candidate with the following professional competencies:

  • 8 to 11 years with strong technical and hands-on experience with working in ITIL based Service Management and processes framework in Financial Services, preferably Investment Banking, Trading and Administration domain.
  • Substantial working knowledge and hands-on in ITIL practices like Configuration Management, Incident and Problem management, Change management, and other areas like Capacity Management.
  • Substantial working knowledge of Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and related data models and configurations.
  • Experience with creating and generating various kinds of operational reports and dashboards using reporting and data visualization tools (such as Power BI) to be able to develop, update and maintain the dashboards.
  • Hands-on experience on ITSM tool – ServiceNow
  • Hands-on experience on PowerBI and MS Excel.
  • Hands-on experience in writing SQL queries with exposure of relational databases and data models.
  • Knowledge of DevOps functions, CI/CD pipeline process.
  • Knowledge of the Cloud technologies including Kubernetes, Docker etc.
  • Knowledge of the investment banking sector.
  • Knowledge of Financial Markets, trading, and instruments.
  • Working conditions: Should be comfortable with afternoon shift (Shift time - 1 PM to 10 PM)
