This role is pivotal in guiding the company's digital accessibility program and promoting compliance with WCAG and related international standards. Responsibilities include conducting accessibility audits, establishing guidelines and best practices, managing document conversion, evaluating assistive technologies, and providing training to web designers, developers, and content providers. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of web communications, web development, or digital media experience and an associate's or bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Our client is seeking a Senior Digital Accessibility Specialist to join their team. This role is pivotal in guiding the company's digital accessibility program and promoting compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and related international standards across all digital properties.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular accessibility audits of corporate websites and other digital properties for compliance

  • Establish guidelines, best practices, and standards related to designing and maintaining accessible websites

  • Manage the process of converting documents to ensure compliance with WCAG

  • Evaluate and recommend assistive software and hardware

  • Develop and implement outreach and training for web designers, developers, and content providers

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for accessibility for various teams within the organization
     

Qualifications:

  • An associate's degree with relevant experience or a bachelor's degree in digital/internet marketing, business, computer science, or communications

  • 3+ years of web communications, web development, or other digital media experience
